FedEx Truck Slams Into Car Killing Two Little Girls

A FedEx truck slammed into the rear of a Saturn on October 27, 2011 killing two little girls and injuring the driver and another passenger. The fatal crash occurred on Highway 51 just south of Senatobia, Mississippi. Witnesses say the Saturn slowed to a stop as a car in front of it was making a left. The FedEx truck driver apparently did not see that the Saturn had stopped and slammed into the rear of the vehicle. The two little girls killed in the fatal wreck, aged six and two, were sitting in the back of the car. The driver of the Saturn, who is also the mother of the two girls, was taken to an area hospital along with a 15-year-old passenger. Both were in serious condition. The FedEx driver was uninjured in the crash. Authorities at this time are uncertain if speed was a factor in the crash. The investigation into Thursday's fatal crash in Mississippi is ongoing.
