A fiery multi-vehicle crash on November 18 on California’s Interstate 210 has left two men dead and two others injured. According to the California Highway Patrol, a tractor trailer caused Thursday’s fatal chain-reaction crash when the driver failed to see traffic ahead of her slowing. The 55-year-old driver of the semi was traveling eastbound on the freeway at about 55 miles per hour as she approached an area where traffic had begun to slow. The tractor trailer then slammed into a pickup truck, which exploded into flames and overturned. The momentum of the crash kept moving forward, causing a chain-reaction crash involving at least 10 other vehicles.
The two men inside the pickup truck were found dead. Two others were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries, authorities said. There have been no arrests made and the crash remains under investigation. Authorities did say that the driver’s lapse of attention likely caused the fatal crash. Read more
