Tour Bus Driver Suffered Chest Aneurism Before Fatal Crash, Company Employee Says

According to a Strain Bus Line Motor Coach Tours employee, the driver of the tour bus that crashed on Wednesday afternoon in Minnesota suffered a chest aneurism, possibly causing the bus to swerve onto oncoming lanes before flipping over into a ditch. Two women were killed and another 21 people were injured in the accident. The company employee confirmed that driver Ed Erickson, 52, of Elgin, Minn., was in stable condition at Saint Mary’s Hospital as of Thursday morning. Erickson, Strain Bus Line’s only full time driver, was able to speak to law enforcement who have begun an investigation into the crash.
